DUTIES:  You will be responsible for:  (1) Acting as a divisional CIO; (2) Ownership and management of Information Technology (IT) strategic planning, policy, process, programs, procedure, for all computer related IT systems, services, and staff; (3) Oversight of multiple geographic locations and a decentralized IT staff to include managers, project managers, business analysts, etc.; (4) Oversight of IT engagements, projects, deliverables, staff, budgets, vendors, etc.; (5) Direct management of 5 managers with total headcount of nearly 20 IT professionals across a half dozen locations; (6) Researching, evaluating, negotiating, and selecting IT vendors and hardware and software technologies; (7) Relationship building with end-users, vendors, and third-party business partners; (8) Evangelizing the IT vision and strategy throughout IT, to the end-user community, and vendors and business partners; (9) Designing and driving standardization throughout your IT and business domain; (10) Leading IT steering groups within your IT and business domain; (11) Ensuring that the IT organization has a successful staff development, skills enrichment, and succession planning program.

 

REQUIRED:

MUST have a verifiable undergraduate degree ideally in Computer Science.

15 years of continued corporate career progression in a MICROSOFT IT environment with a STRONG background in the INSURANCE SERVICES industry.

2 years of SENIOR IT MANAGEMENT (i.e. Divisional CIO, VP, Director) out of an organization with a revenue stream of $400 million to $1 billion and 3000-7000 employee population representing multiple geographic locations.

MUST have STRONG/CURRENT experience managing a staff of 10-20 IT professionals.

MUST have 10 years of STRONG/CURRENT IT project management.

MUST have strength in leading IT through merger and acquisition experiences.

Must be willing to travel (10-20%).
