DUTIES:  You will be responsible for:  (1) Performing MS SQL Server database administration to include performance monitoring, performance tuning, installs, upgrades, backups, recoveries, etc.; (2) Implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting database instances, replication, backup, partitions, storage, and access; (3) Capacity planning and hardware and software requisitions; (4) Writing and maintaining scripts to automate database and Windows functions and documenting work performed; (5) Implementing database and Windows monitoring and making performance recommendations; (6) Assisting programming staff with optimal development activities; (7) Working with systems engineers to install and configure database servers; (8) Maintaining current disaster recovery practices; (9) Developing and keeping accurate documentation of processes, standards and baselines across SaaS environments, generating status updates of assigned projects and problems; (10) Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for SaaS system issues and working collaboratively with support and infrastructure teams, vendors and customers; (11) Performing root cause analysis on service interruption; (12)

Participating in an on call rotation.

REQUIRED: 

At least 4 years of STRONG/CURRENT ADVANCED MS SQL Server database administration to include performance monitoring, performance tuning, installs, upgrades, backups, recoveries, etc.

STRONG/CURRENT experience in an ASP or SaaS environment.

SAN/NAS.

STRONG/CURRENT Microsoft Windows Server, clustering and load-balancing.

MUST have EXCELLENT communication and interpersonal skills as well as STRONG customer facing orientation.

MUST have strong process orientation, good time management, and solid documentation skills.
